Small notes about photography, travel and weekend projects.

Morning light in the old town

Woke up before six to catch the first light on the stone streets. The best frames came in the twenty minutes after sunrise, when the walls turn warm and the shadows are still long. Lesson learned again: the light does not wait for coffee.

A slower camera

I have been shooting with a fixed lens for a month. Fewer choices, more walking. It changed what I notice: doors, windows, people waiting for a bus. I keep only one photo per walk now.

Notes from the mountain road

Three days, two flat tyres, one perfect lake. Mountain weather changes every hour, so pack a jacket even when the forecast says sun. The small villages along the road have the best bread.
